Mozilla has long offered alternatives to the Firefox stable channel where they release test versions of their browsers that will later be officially released. Firefox Developer Edition now replaces the Aurora Channel to offer an updated version of the browser every six weeks, long before its official release on the Standard Channel, and comes complete with unique features aimed at web development.
This version includes many tools for creating, editing, and testing projects on a variety of devices and browsers, showing the new features bundled together in a drop-down menu on the toolbar. It includes the WebID system (a development package for creating Firefox OS web pages and applications) as well as an extension to view and edit projects on other devices such as smartphones and tablets, or check the page view. on other browsers like Chrome or Safari.
Other features include options to inspect the page's source code and edit HTML and CSS code from the browser while seeing changes in real time. It also has features for debugging and performance analysis that allows, for example, to check the network status when you make online requests or view a history of changes with each of your page interactions.
A standard user level, the only thing that is different is a darker visual theme and the features mentioned above that are not available on the stable channel, making this version ideal for both developers and those who want stay in the know about anything happening with their favorite browser.
